Welcome Blog!

Hello everyone, this is the beginning of the 2nd term of the Art Portfolio module, around the time when the first term was completed, I felt rushed with my project due to the lack of device for animating. However, this time around I have purchased a graphic tablet that will assist me in my animating for the future projects. I can also use Clip Studio Paint as the drawing/animating program for all my projects as well.

Another important to-do-list objective I have done was to create another Instagram account specifically for my art and drawing. I had been posting all of my art related posts on my personal account which was not blending in with the rest of the stuff so I had decided to dedicate a special account for all my future drawings and animating clips. Once done I then started to practice on my graphic tablet and using Clip Studio Paint to get comfortable using it and drew couple of characters on it.

During my break I have not done much in terms of other activities as I was solely focusing on getting better with my skills using my new graphic tablet, I was making sure by the time any university project rolls around I am confident and comfortable using Clip Studio Paint to do my tasks. However that does not go without having to be inspired and take some key ideas from other artists as I had scrolled and looked at during the break.

The goal for this term is to reflect on my previous term and want to improve on the areas I lack, particularly with time management. Given I was on the back foot with my animation project because of the lack of animating apps on my iPad, I had to manually draw all of the frames on a drawing app and manually insert them in the film maker program. The quality of the animation would have been better if I had started the project sooner. But now I can focus with the project seriously and prepare for it as soon as possible.
