Ideas Generations

For this post, I will present my ideas for my portoflio using the Flag method. This method allows me to present the elements of the animation that I will have and create the basis on what the clip is going to be about. Each element of the flag is basic and easy to understand and gives me a clear vision with the storyboarding and how each characters will interact.

I will carefully be implementing these flags to fully embrace the Purple Haze theme, as from the previous animation clip, this one will have a story.

I will now discuss about each element in the flag with the ideas generation. The mind mapping will be different as I will discuss the storyboard separately.

1. Comedic : I will make this story humorous, as it will complement with the colour and the theme of the animation. Secondly, comedic and dramatic expressions are coherent with one another so it will be a duo element present

2. Relaxing/Chill : This element plays tandem to the comedic part, as there is not much for the viewer to injest and is more about enjoying the animation.

3. Dramatic : As I have mentioned previously, having more dramatic expressions and scenes will add to the humorous part of the story. It will be impactful and will give characters more life to their expressions and their pesonality.

4. Background/City : This is another important aspect of the animation as I will be focousing a lot more on the background to give a more filling and believable environment. But, however, I want to restrain to add not too much detail before I go off tandem with the work.

5. Storyboarding : With storyboarding, I can chronologically label the story and scenes accordingly. It is important for me to keep the story on track and I can always add anything new to the story when developing the plot.

  1. Within each of these elements / themes will you also be using different tones of purple? For example will dramatic be strong vibrant purples? and will relaxing be calm / soft tones? Make sure with each element of the story you think about how it relates to your Purple Haze theme.
