First thoughts

 As for the first brief, I have been introduced to three themes, from which I have to select one theme and base it with the progression route. The three themes are Purple Haze, Expressionism and Earthy Delights.

 Purple Haze is the theme I have chosen has it is a monochrome style theme, meaning only one set of colour can be used for this project. Purple is a vibrant colour and I believe it will appear more disctinctive provided it has a good theme and development done on it.

 The first thing that comes to mind about this particular theme is a small animation clip, to demonstrate the theme and colour. The initial ideas is having a lanscape with the purple colour dominating the sky and the ground. This could be the first piece of the theme, as I have to present a total of six pieces around Purple Haze. With the other five remaining pieces, I can create character designs sets to further illustrate the purple colour linking them with any personality or characteristics that purple associates.

 One particular artist comes to mind and that is Hirihiko Araki, some of his characters are vibrant with the colour purple and display their charisma and personality strongly with it.

With this in mind, I will be deciding the character designs and the theme around it, there is a possibility I will create the animation clip which inclucdes the five characters that I will draw.
