Glossery of terms
For my progression route, I have listed some words below that will be used in my animation scope. I have also explained what each word means and how they are used.
1.) Key frames: These frames act like guides for creating a transition between frames. Key frames are made with high details and are primarily the focus frames as well.
2.) In-betweens: In-between frames are those frames that are between the key frames, these frames perform the transition from key frame to key frame creating the illusion of animation.
3.) Frame rate: The term relates to how many frames are being displayed per second, usually animations are drawn from 12 to 24 frames per second to create a more immersive animation experience.
4) Tweening: Tweening means creating a path of motion for the object to be animated on. This allows to save several frames and can be helpful when creating a precise motion for instance dropping a ball from a height.
5.) Cell: Cell refers to the frames in which they are drawn on. All traditional 2D based animations use cell based method as it is a proven method to draw hand made animation.
Some good terms here Subhan. Just watch the spelling of 'Glossary' in the blog post title.
