3D model development
I have started with my last piece of the project and that is to replicate Subbi's left arm's armour pads. For this, I will be simply using cardboard and paint to create the 3D wearable piece and then display it on my website.
Fortunately, the cardboard I wanted came in a box that I ordered for a product, meaning it is unpainted and is durable enough to be folded easily. Initially, the design was to replicate 100 percent of the character's armour design but it turned out that the cardboard is too tough to be folded in a particular way. Rather than having to muscle the cardboard and ruining the texture of the material, I have decided to make straight cuts to form a cylindrical shape.
The next step was to measure the distance for each cut such that the cardboard can fold easily and wrap around my left arm. Approximately 6 cm gaps were required for each cuts and this is how it turned out:
I also made a cut out for ease of movement, both for the bottom part of the piece and also at the top for the hand. Next was to create holes or rather indents on the side of the piece, this proved to be much difficult task as I did not have a sharp tool to cut. However in hindsight this turned out to be a good choice as this would have exposed skin and so therefore only the last layer of the cardboard remains on the holes.
I proceeded to glue and tape the piece together, holding it in place and then painted it. The paint was a blend of white and black to create a much darker grey hue. However, the blending was slightly tricky as I wanted a precise dark grey colour. Initially, the colour came out light so I added more black and then painted the piece.
Once I was done with the larger piece, I moved on with the smaller piece that goes on the top of the hand. The shape was easy to cut and fold, however, I had no other material to use to stick on the bottom side othe piece so that I can wear it. I would have preferred a fabric material or another elastic piece but I did not have it at hand, so I had to cut a strip from a plastic bag, which was not even in black colour and use that instead.

Good documentation of your working process.
