Presentation Feedback and Improving Work
After discussing and presenting my work to my peers, I have received some feedback onto which I can review and anaylise further for my project. As an artist it is not always to see you are doing excellent without ever knowing if there is a flaw or an element in the work which can be enhanced or improved upon. That said, these are some of the questions I will be asking myself after the discussion I had with my colleagues.
Did everyone understand what your project was about?
I believe everyone did, although I certainly think while I was presenting my work I was talking faster than expected and not everyone seem to take in everything. I tend to talk and present fast if a certain time period is given, this is the area I will work on.
Did your peers think you had good initial ideas and research?
Yes, from my research my peers said that I had done good amount of work though more could be researched on especially on the artist research. My theme I believe is vague and so no particular artist falls into this category that solely dedicate their work to this theme, so which is why I have found difficulties finding references and artworks of other artists.
Did your peers think you were challenging yourself?
My colleagues suggested I was doing a good amount of work but not on the verge of being challenged, however, with time passing by and deadline coming ever so closer, I feel like time at some point will be fighting against me and this is where the challenege aspect will definitely kick in,.
Did they think you had good research throughout?
As previously mentioned, the comments I received were positive but however the lack of artist research was only missing in my project work.
What other feedback did you get that you found useful?
I did not receive any futher comments and only just for the presentation only.
Here is the feedback I had recieved from one of my colleagues: Firstly Sophia

You have identified a lack of research and that you are struggling to find designers and artists that relate to your project - try looking at designers who explore techniques and processes that you are interested in - as this type of research is just as important if not more important than overall aesthetics. Cast the net wide with your research.
